A Midsummer Night's Dream is in rehearsal at the Open Air Theatre but in this modern-day version Charlie, 'a real, honest-to-goodness, silver-winged sprite', and her friends live 'tucked away in the large oak in a "V" of green grass overlooking the aviary cages at London Zoo'. From here they wreak havoc on the love lives of a quartet of mortals: so quick bright things come to confusion.
